How far along are you on your infographic? Will you be finished and ready to embed on to your blog by the end of the hour today? Do you think you've used your time wisely in class? Explain yourself.

I am not very far on my infographic, I must admit sadly. Some of my infographic was deleted, and I was having some trouble with the program and my images, so it was kind of hard to get a lot done. I want to be mostly finished at the end of day and maybe have a little time on Monday to finish up the final details. Infographics take a while to be able to fully and successfully complete the task at hand. There are so many things and details that make up an infographic, which is completely better than a paper don't get me wrong. Papers take a shorter amount of time, but they only express creativity through your vast vocabulary. I think I have used my time wisely, but it is hard to not be nit picky on the details.

Why do I have you brainstorm and collect your information in a Google Doc before putting in to final draft? Explain.

You have us do that, so when we go to put it all together we are not frantic, as well as we can process new and creative ideas. Also you have us do this so that we gain more information about the cause we will be working with for a while. It makes the process easier when we go to put the final product together, because we don't have to scour the internet at the last minute. It was super easy to write our essays, because all we had to do was add fluff and add explanations to make it an essay. When we were collecting the information it was daunting, but the essay itself it was super essay, so thank you for making us collect copious amounts of information.

Yesterday I introduced you to infographics... tell me again what they are and how they are used? What is the benefit of an infographic? What goes into an infogrpahic?

Infographics are a way to present information in a fun and dynamic way, such as using pictures, graphs, and other displays of though on a document. When presented this information, the audience is more enthused, due to the fact that it isn't a paragraph by paragraph explanation of the global issue, or topic you are addressing. An infographic uses the information we have found on our global issue as well as finding captions and attention grabbers, such as powerful  images and graphics. Infographics are basically prettier and more fun paper, they give the same information, but using pictures and eliminate all the fluff that we add to our papers to make it harder to get to the point.

* My essay is all about the causes, effects, and repercussions of eco-terrorism, not only is it a major problem in the U.S., but also allover the world. Many people believe that environmentalists with extreme thoughts are peaceful and harmless, yet they don't know how far they will go to prove their point. Eco-terrorism has been a massive problem in the U.S. after 9/11, because of a lady named Marie mason. She has rallied many extremists and brought about crazy and harmful ideas, such as causing a lot of money in damage.

Here is my global issue paper:

Where are you at with your 5 paragraph essay so far? How is it coming? Is it easy to write? Difficult to write? Is it helpful that you created an outline first? Explain.

I have finished all five paragraphs, but now I am going through and making sure it is a great essay. I think that it is really easy to write after we did the outline and found all our resources before hand. I think that this essay is going really well, because the topic I chose doesn't have a lot of resources, but the resources I did find include a lot of information that is useful. I think it will be a great essay after I tweak some things and add in my citations.

Tell me about your Sweetheart weekend. If you didn't go to Sweetheart, what did you do? I want details!

During Sweetheart weekend, I had a family lunch-in on Saturday, and before the ice I was supposed to volunteer on Friday. I actually did not go to Sweetheart this weekend, but instead my friend Alli and I became couch potatoes and watched a bunch of 80's movies. On Sunday all I did was homework and hang out with my friend Maggie and my dad. I am not a huge football games, so Maggie and I resorted to Say Yes to The Dress and  Girl Code. Overall it was stress free weekend that was needed after a long week of school, and I hope we get a snow day this week!
